men can lose their virginity too 

I don’t know if you know this, but society doesn’t place any fucking value on men’s virginity…nor has it ever systemically trained men to think of themselves as only being worthy of marriage if they’re still a virgin.

Society doesn’t tell men they’re tainted or dirty when they lose their virginity it praises them.

Society’s never PAID men’s families for their virginity…NOR HAS IT EVER PROMISED WOMEN who do good that they’ll get to “have sex with a 1000 virgin men” when they go to heaven.

…but like, once your hymen breaks or whatever that shit isnt coming back. Guys can have sex for the first time and physically be no different. Yea they “lost their virginity” but there is nothing different going on down there. For a woman, there is.

Yeah, your biology is fucking wrong. The hymen doesn’t completely cover the vagina. It doesn’t “pop” or “break”. It’s an elastic membrane that sits right outside or right inside the vagina. During sex the membrane is stretched. It is possible for the membrane to tear and bleed if you go too rough or fast. Because of its elastic nature it will stretch out if you have intercourse or masturbate regularly. It is also possible for the hymen to ebb back to regular size. The idea that the hymen needs to be “broken” was a myth propagated by the patriarchy. Before you post something please do some actual research or at least know what you are talking about.                                                                                         - LOA

Virginity is just a word to describe someone who hasn’t had sex, and nothing more. There is no good or bad thing about being one or not being one, and anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong.

Virginity is a socially constructed term to sell off women (slavery or marriage) for a higher price. It isn’t a medical term and if you look up the definition of “virgin” most of the definitions refer to women. Four of Merriam-Webster’s definitions are “an unmarried woman devoted to religion,” “an absolutely chaste young woman,” “an unmarried girl or woman,” and (this one I was actually surprised by) “a female animal that has never copulated.”

The whole concept has a ridiculous historical background and has been used by society to keep the concept of women as objects, which is stupid. 

Also, women should not be defined by whether or not they have sex. Being a virgin, despite popular belief, does not make you pure and/or good. Just like having sex, even tons of it, does not make you dirty and/or bad.
